Wardrobe Styling

Effie Trinket is a character in The Hunger Games film series. She works as a mentor and escort of the District 12 tributes where she can show off and draw attention to herself. She grew up in the capital of Panem in luxury and wealth with a high influence on fashion. She is sweet, superficial, positive, and concerned with appearance. Effie is very strict in following the Capitol protocol, having proper manners, and punctuality. She is known for being bright, bubbly, vibrant, and fashionable. Fashion is very important to Effie and uses it to express herself. Throughout the film series’ progress, we see Effie becomes less shallow, using less white makeup, and wearing a more natural makeup look. We can also see that she struggles with an internal conflict as she realizes that the Capital she loves isn’t as great as she believed it was. She becomes uncomfortable and guilty with the whole idea, but as the film goes on, she becomes hopeful that things might be better. I'll be styling Effie during the second series of the film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Monica Vinader
For the first look, I paired a fuchsia dress by Giambattista Valli with a fuchsia tulle boot by Azalea Wang, nude diamond fishnet tights from Pretty Little Things, and lace fuchsia gloves from Amazon. For accessories, we have silver earrings by Vitaly and silver rings from Gorjana and Monica Vinader. Lastly, I paired the whole look with a wig from Effie’s wardrobe but dyed lilac. Throughout the series, we see Effie wear a different fuchsia dress making us think it’s either her favorite color or a trending color in the Capital. We also see during the first and second series that she loves ruffles making her look sweet and bubbly.

For the second look, I paired a gold dress by Rahul Mishra with Bronze Faux Crocodile Boot from Burju Shoes and sheer ivory gloves by Cornelia James. For accessories, we have gold earrings from Etsy, a gold bracelet by Michael Michaud, and a gold ring by Monica Vinader. In the second series, Effie changed her wig to a gold wig to match Katniss’s mockingjay pin symbolizing them as a team. As she expresses herself through fashion she would also wears a gold outfit.
Third Look

Alexander McQueen
Lolitain
For the third look, I paired a lilac dress by Alexander McQueen with matching shoes. For the accessories, we have a silver bracelet from Banana Republic, lilac sheer gloves from Amazon, and a light blonde wig from Lolitain. However, I would tuck the loose hair from both sides through the ears to hide it. The flower symbolizes joy and growth while the color purple symbolizes success and even royalty showing the success of their team (Katniss and Peeta). I keep it a lilac color for a more bubby and cheerful look.
